John has a farming background; this has encouraged his ability to think outside the square and combining this with more than 20 years’ experience in the Electrical Industry he enjoys an innovative way of thinking about problems that arise in the work place.
After completing his Electrical Apprenticeship in Victoria the ‘Recession we had to have’ sent him working anti-clockwise around Australia in all states excluding the ACT. This also introduced him to the mining industry.
John has spent many years designing, building and commissioning Brick Plants for a renowned Australian Brick company across various states. When this contract ended he started in the Underground Mining Industry.
His mind set of working smarter not harder has revolutionised the way that many of the most tedious jobs are actioned on his current mine site. Saving in time, money, man power, down time and, most importantly, injury.
Why:
It was when Inventing the JK Jigger and JK Keeper (and also having many more ideas and solutions to problems he saw in the Industry gathering in his mind) that John saw the need to start Eagle Alternatives to share his “alternatives” to common problems within the industry. We are a relatively new company that is growing the range of innovative products to assist Industry. As products evolve to a point that meets our expectations of quality and function we will release them to the market via the Eagle Alternatives banner.

Who: Cate Keane
Cate has a solid Sales background in automotive parts and Real Estate before irresponsibly travelling around the globe and back to trip the coasts of Australia, eventually finding herself in the red centre for a time before settling in Central Victoria.
Why:
Her various travels have given Cate a strong belief in Australia being the lucky country where inspiration, unique invention and exciting possibilities abound. She feels it is important to ‘keep it local’ wherever possible.
She brings many and varied skills to Eagle Alternatives including great people skills, administration, communication and marketing experience.
